If I give a kid a airbrush tattoo can I get sued by his parents?
Factors. Temporary Airbrush Tattoo business. The tat lasts 3 or so days unless you wash off with alcohol. Water based and non toxic. I am only talking about legal issues about putting a crazy image like a skull or sword on a kid and the parents freakin out. Do I have to make the kid get a premission slip before I collect his money?
If the kid is under the legal age of consent, generally 18, then he cannot consent to you doing anything to his body. In other words, if you did give him a tattoo without parent’s consent, this would be a battery.
On a practical note, since you can wash it off, the damages are virtually zero. Therefore, it would not be feasible for the parents to bring a suit in a normal situation.
If you are in the business or plan on doing so, I would recommend seeing an attorney for a basic release form to be used and verify that these generalities are in fact the law in your jurisdiction. (The law cited here is general common law applicable in most jurisdictions, but of course, there are always some minorities)
